Break down your work into deep sessions with short breaks in between.
Usually, the work session is 25 minutes and the break is 5 minutes.
I like to walk in the 5 minutes break instead of sitting in front of the laptop screen as my work sessions are mostly on the device.
Over time, you might be able to engage in longer deep work sessions in which case it’s a good idea to continue and don’t break your flow by taking that break.
Sometimes, I get deep work sessions between 60-90 minutes and then take a longer 20-30 minute break after.
Watching videos doesn’t count as a break.
Pomodoro also encourages using non-digital tools like pen and paper so you can try to use this to jot down ideas, draw UIs, make marketing plans on paper, making notes from a book, etc.
